PREPARING FOR DEATH:

The first year pastoring Faith Tabernacle church there were just a few people and anyone walking through those doors we would be so excited. The spirit was always so strong the music was always playing before church ever started.  A man in his forties came in walking with a cane and having a hard time getting around.  The minute he walked in and felt the spirit of God he love it and the very next service he came without his cane, gave his heart to God and was baptized. We baptized him in a horse trough in the front of the church.  His baptism was so beautiful, the man’s name was Billy Tims and his grandfather was our Senior Pastor’s preacher friend.  Even though his grandfather had already left this old world I believe his prayers brought Billy Tims to our church to prepare him for his leaving this world.  You see about a year later he died with a heart attack.  Don’t ever feel your prayers are in vain because they are not answered just when you think they should be.  God does hear your cry for your unsaved loved ones.  The prayers of Bill’s grandparents were with him to prepare him to meet God.

 Joel 2:28

And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

I know our prayers live on.  Billy also brought his brother Phillip to church and also saw him baptized.  Billy loved God and the church and I will always miss him, my ministry will be stronger because of knowing him.  Someday I will meet him again in heaven.
