MY EAGLE STORY:

I have always loved my brother more than anything in this world, he is three years older than I am.  He has always even as a child wanted to protect and take care of me.  Although, it wasn’t always easy being his sister when he was playing cowboys, I was always the bad one they used to hang and almost did, he and his best friend Ronnie Alexander, enough said about that story.

About twelve years ago God was drawing me closer to Him in a relationship I had never known before.  I wanted my brother to experience the same things that I was.  God had laid him on my heart so strong.  He was an ordained minister that had strayed from God for twenty years and to the world He was a hopeless alcoholic.  I began to pray and fast for my brother.  As I was sitting on my side porch one day in much prayer and studying the word, God showed me my brother was an egg, that was all he gave me at the time.  I really didn’t know what that meant, I talked about it, told the church, all I could think of was an egg you cook so I thought the shell was bondage to sin, inside is the inner man.  This went on for months but it was so strong in my mind.  All this time over a period of about a couple years my brother was making his way back to God.

One night in a garage, at the time that was where our church was located, I looked in the back it was the most beautiful experience I could ever have seen, Victor, my brother was standing up his hands in the air, there is no hands like my brothers when he is worshipping.  I just stood there and God said there’s your egg it’s just cracked open and he’s an eagle, he is fixing to soar.  Until that time I had never even thought of an eagle.  My brother has been soaring ever since leading others to Christ, preaching the gospel, God has restored him.

Jeremiah 30:17

For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.

Psalm 51:12

Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

Sometimes God give us things and we don’t exactly know what they mean, just hold on to the thought and wait He will show you.

Isaiah 40:31

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
